Books on astral travel, OBE and life after life
I have fee favorite books on the topics:
On OBE(Out of Body Experiences) - Alan Monroe
On life between lives - Michael Newton and Elsa Barker
Few months ago went for hypnosis regression myself, found a hypnotherapist, who put me in hypnotic trance and I "visited" myself in two past lives. Intense!

Hello Fidar, I went to your profile pic expecting to see Shirley Maclaine. But you are much better looking, even if you are male.
Coops.

What did you tell yourself? If it were me, I would tell 'myselves' to square yourselves away...for my sake at least. Of course, one doesn't talk that way to a kahuna.

"Zen of Astral Travels" by Ashfartam Pratushintim
"ABC of OBE" by Zara Farrel
"Past lives and empty chakras" by Robert Krakovitz
All well worth reading.

Thanks, Coops! You should see me 25-30 years ago... Right after returning from Soviet Army. I hate Army since, but it does turn BOYS into MEN. No arguments there.

Re: Books on astral travel, OBE and life after life
My sister once did the "hynotic regression" thing. Helped her to "remember" things that happened to her when she was a child. Just one problem. Many of the things that she "remembered" never happened. Everyone else in the family who was present for some of these events (for which, of course, she blames everything that is wrong with her today) agrees that what she is "remembering" is nothing but fiction.
Others are tip-toeing around it, but I'll come out and say it. Hokum. Nothing more.

Re: Books on astral travel, OBE and life after life
This is the library thread, we are not lining up to drink the koolaide, just sharing books we enjoyed and others may too.
Sorry about your sis, I've had friends with false memories too, it is a tough thing to deal with.

Re: Books on astral travel, OBE and life after life
Since the universe and everything in it suddenly appeared from the action of something outside time and space 13.8 bn years ago, it should be too much of a stretch to imagine that something must still exist outside time and space.
I have two books to recommend relating to the subject. The first is not for the weak hearted, but it is a very interesting read - Hostage to the Devil by Malachi Martin. This is about the exorcism of 5 contemporary Americans, each of which involves numerous witnesses. Because the Catholic church is a bit embarrassed by the whole subject of exorcism, when they do it, it tends to be only following psychiatric evaluation and is accompanied by recordings, witnesses, etc. Scary book, but it does purport to describe one aspect of things outside our world.
The second is Light After Death by Dr. Michael Sabom. Sabom is a cardiologist who has conducted one of the few clinically rigorous studies of NDEs and as a result deserves a read by those interested in the subject.

Re: Books on astral travel, OBE and life after life
Whenever I forget how to tie the square knot, I do the hypnotic regression thing on myself. Too bad it turns out I did not know how to tie it in my earlier lives either.
