No the valve may break or fail when used.

What made me laugh was listening to the representative tell me how to dispose of the old Fire extinguisher. "Discharge it, but don't point it at your face or the face of others, be sure to do this outside and point the fire extinguisher downwind..." I could hear the CYA think tank /attorneys sayin "okay how can the some idiot mess this up", and then telling people not to do that.
