Actually, is the 795 the specialized glazing silicone? If that's the case, it's not the same as the $3 bathroom caulk type of silicone.


I can't find it but there is a special version used for highrise windows that has been used with good effect and can be redone when the plexiglass windows are replaced.

795 is that sealant. I use it for portlights and such. Look for it at building supply shops. You may be able to buy qty 1 there or even get it as a "free" demo.

It is recommended that you use only fresh product - so I've been wary of tubs offered on ebay.

I wonder what flex-seal would be like on an old dodger top. I don't have money to get a new one yet and was considering trying it to make it more water proof. I was thinking of coating the whole top. Just curious?.

I have had very good luck using the aluminum foil like tape used for air conditioning duct work. Unfortunately it works so well that many "temporary" fixes are still waiting to be fixed years later
