Re: AquaPro Inflatable Boats

I experienced the usual problems with the glue joints on a 5 years old Aquapro Europa 240 tender bought in New Zealand and still under warranty.
RFD refuses to fully cover the warranty as the serial number tag is missing.
As I never removed it, I presume it came off the wodden transom due to corrosion between the alluminium and the nails/rivets. Has anybody experienced similar accident (detachment of the serial number tag)?

Re: AquaPro Inflatable Boats

What sad stories! I bought a 3 metre polymer AquaPro at the Sydney Boat Show in 2000. It is still going strong although it has been stored more than used. One side is leaking slightly, through the inflation point I think. When I want a replacement I guess I'll have to get one from NZ.

Re: AquaPro Inflatable Boats

I totally given up on them as a bad expensive joke.
Replaced them with Swift inflatable from Southport Qld have been to date very good and the quality outstanding. Swift are the choice of most charter operators in the Whitsundays

Re: AquaPro Inflatable Boats

I bought a New Zealand built 3M Aquapro RIB in 1999, used it many times for exploring waterways in Eastern Australia and stored it away from the sunlight. Sold it last year (2013) after cosmetic work on the few glued seams that were starting to peel. Great boat that gave me long service.

The move to production in China in early 2000s was fraught with quality control problems which destroyed the brand's reputation as a quality RIB. Who's to say Aquapro is not making the same sort of comeback as other brands still made in China?

Had a 14' aquapro in the late nineties. Will never own another one. Enough said.

Hi All,

I have a 2007 Aquapro Divemaster 1401, looking to replace the Rub Strake (rub rail rubber strip, splash strip chine) in the original 84mm grey white.

(Photo attached)

Any assistance to where i could locate a supplier of the original rubber?

Located Gold Coast Australia
