Floating Binocular Strap

I am a new owner of Steiner Observer binoculars. I also have kids. I am wondering flotation I could attach to the strap, or if there is a buoyant strap, that would prevent these from going to the bottom.

Re: Floating binocular strap

Steiner makes one.

Or for $5, you could try one of these floating camera straps.

Re: Floating Binocular Strap

Thanks. After reading reviews of the cheaper product, I went with the Steiner strap. And Zeehag, with all due respect, trying to keep the kids away from the binocs would be like trying to keep water out of the bilge.

Re: Floating Binocular Strap

was this a bathtub test? or was it an inadvertent float test?

Re: Floating Binocular Strap

i tied a line to the strap and lowered them into the water off the side of the boat. they floated (in freshwater) with the top loop of the strap sticking out of the water.
