Drifting sailboat south of Long Island?

Heard a Coast Guard report on the VHF yesterday of an empty drifting sailboat 30 miles south of Long Island New York. I think I heard it demasted. I have not been able to find any further reports on this. Anyone heard any other details.

We were up there by Guilford as Lee went by and heard a mayday from a smaller sailboat. I believe 27 or 28 foot.
It was getting beat up and coast guard rescued them. After that we heard a few securitee's regarding it being adrift.
It could be the same boat, but I would think it would have drifted farther away by now?
