Panama City Beach to Tampa/Stpete

I'll be sailing south within the next 6 weeks. Curious if anyone here has sailed this short trip before and any advise?

Not much to say. Pick a few days with a good weather forecast and go. Not really feasible to try to coast hop since there's not a lot of places in the big bend to stop so sailing straight across is the way to go.

This time of year hurricane season is winding down but I would still check hurricane forecasts. Early but not too early for a cold front so check for fronts coming down from the north.
