Re: Now THIS is a collission!

If you look in the middle, you can see people standing there watching. At that point, there's not much they can do.
Smaller boat did help stop the big boat! haha.

I thought it might be a April Fool's trick (belated), but apparently not: Investigation: 279-MO-2010-008 - Independent investigation into the collision between the Liberian registered bulk carrier Grand Rodosi and the Australian registered fishing vessel Apollo S in Port Lincoln, SA on 8 October 2010

That was my concern. Just because the boat is docked doesn't mean there's no one aboard...

I looked for an icon of sticking one's thumb out but couldn't find it there, so ...

Re: Now THIS is a Collision !

I can't for the life of me understand how anybody [in the investigation] could watch that video footage and not question what on earth was going on, if anything, on the bridge of the bulk-carrier... unbelievable.

I do hope no-one was injured/killed on the moored vessel - the thing was demolished!

Re: Now THIS is a Collision !

The video clearly shows that the bulk carrier Grand Rodosi had right-of-way, and that the smaller fishing vessel, by virtue of being of lesser gross tonnage, was the burdened vessel and should have moved out of the way of the larger vessel.

Verdict for the defendant.
