The recent LED monitors all promise a much lower
power consumption than what we've seen so far for similar size screens. The 18,5" Benq LED
screen, with has a luminosity of 250 cd/m2, is stated to use only 11W "in eco operation".
However, the
power consumption of lcd screens depends very much on the setting of the luminosity. For both my Lenovo L151 and Compaq 1520 the consumption jumps from 11 to 23 Watts when changing the luminosity from min to max.
Has anyone measured the actual consumption of mainstream LED monitors?
