Actually, not over fish at all. China is trying to create an exclusive area for basing naval vessels, particularly submarines. This is similar to Russia's Black Sea. It's easier to find a submarine if you track it from where it's starting from. Having a broader base area increases the odds of going undetected.

Last time I took a sight I found the fix came out way off. Later I found a jar of strawberry jam was left open, accidentally, by my crew.

Jamming GLONASS is as easy as jamming GPS. You just use a different frequency.

I guess we all need to go back to keeping a DR. Every body should also keep their knot logs their are time you can't see the stars and the refresh time is slower than we are unto.😎
