Re: Please Identify this Anchor Windless

Capstan, vertical
Windless, horizontal

That is what I was taught.

Re: Please Identify this Anchor Windless

I have a v3000 I rebuild it totally, as it has solid unit no brass gears big shaft like no other new / modern capstan . I also bought from James Nilsson (great people very helpful) a conversion kit to replace the motor with a 1200 watt unit 12volt which they sell to replace the old Lucas starter motors which are about 700 watts of power. with this modification the V3000 becomes a V3500. very powerful. also I can lower the anchor or raise it with this setup.

Well worth the effort and cost. Good luck with it.

Re: Please Identify this Anchor Windless

Thanks everyone for the help. Was able to get the unit off and into my workshop. It needs some work and replacement parts. I appreciate everyone input and suggestions. Thanks again.
