Then measure the rate several times. You will find the rate to be VERY repeatable. Certainly more precise than our "calculation" of scope or anchor size.

Releasing by clutch is clearly a different matter.

Some chain gypsys are very fussy. I have tried many of the suggestions, and only paint does not affect the feed. The rope feed is even fussier.

Both the chain and rope are marked with paint (latex is harmless to rope) and I do notice the markers when they pass.

I use cable ties 1=10m 2=20m 3=30m 2=40m 1=50m chain to rope =70m
