If someone stole your main anchor...

...what would you replace it with? NOTE: You can't choose the same model that was stolen! Assume that budget is not a consideration.

(And, yes, I know I forgot to include your favorite anchor--choose Other, and then moan about it in the comments.)

Other:

The body of the person that stole it... With concrete shoes on of course.

Re: If someone stole your main anchor...

I would find the thief and tie him to my stolen anchor and use it as I always do.

Re: If someone stole your main anchor...

I'd get an anchor that is covered with rust so that nobody would steal it.

Steve

heck just go and "steal" that one while tossing a few dollars to the owner, that way he has a reason to to go get a new anchor

i never buy anchors these days, normally when in need of a bit of beer money

a snorkel around busy summer anchorages will turn up 1 or 2 left behind by people who forgot to tie on the bitter end,
or charter boats on day 2 of their charter before they run out on day 3

Why not the same anchor? There is a reason that is my primary anchor.

Re: If someone stole your main anchor...

I thought that seeing what anchor people might be interested in switching to if they had to switch might be a marker of the type of anchor that is generating the most interest right now.

Re: If someone stole your main anchor...

What if the "type of anchor that is generating the most interest right now" is the one that you already have?
Have a Manson Supreme and would stick with it!
Is this an effort to boost your post count?

Depends on if he is Chinese or a New Zelander. More of an "if he will bend" as opposed to a dragging question;-)

Re: If someone stole your main anchor...

We are still in the patent process, so nobody can take our idea. We have created the

GNancor

it is a cross between the worlds best anchor and a gun. It will be the heated topic of all debates on the forum for the next 10 years. The final product will consist of an all barrel rode! Make sure to use your snubber as it has no stretch. The process is patented and will include an anti fouling mechanism, we have called it the rigger, pull the rigger and an explosive charge will break away the item fouling your GNancor Apprently, gun owners already have a trigger and we wanted to be different. This will be produced in Mongolia so that we can tell people it is not from china, but it will be made in china and shipped across the border. This thing is revolutionary, it will not drag and you can take it into any country without telling customs you have a weapon as it is a GNancor.

We are letting people ivest right now. If you want in on the ground level, just send me a check

please specify barrel length when ordering

if I had to pick a boring old ancor if I lost my Manson boss, I would get a rocna or manson supreme.
