Tow "D" rings

I am close to purchasing a new Achillies 9'2 RIB. It has two D rings on the tubes for a towing harness, and also has a bow eye on the glass hull. The Caribe 9' it is replacing, only had a bow eye, and that is how it was towed, for many miles. It would seem to me that a reinforced bow eye would be better to tow with, rather than the D rings. I also don't use a bridle, nor a floating line, and now only tow short distances as I have davits.
