Need advice for flashing light buoy

Dear all,



can anyone of you recommend a good flashing light buoy for attachment to the rescue ring? The one we have is - an electronic toy at best. Even though mounted properly in the original bracket, it starts to flash when the boat heels a bit (15 - 20 Deg) and there is a bit of wave action in addition. I guess we may have irritated a few commercial ships with it. So - it has to go.

Ok, the shop has taken the olde one back. The question remains - which flashing buoys are quality and only flash when they should?

Did you have an ACR? The ACR MOB flashing strobe is pretty popular around here and I’ve never heard any complaints, but then I don’t hear everything. I see west marine has a sale on one model right now.

I won't be able to buy through west marine, they are afraid of European style data protection, but I have found a source through the manufacturer.
