I've been looking at some threads on here and one of them under multihulls is following the making of a St Francis Mk II. Part of this new design incorporates a long cabinet to allow the user to keep two paddleboards inside.
This has many advantages, amongst which are keeping the paddleboards off the stantions and aiding sailing. I like the new design and am following its manufacture closely as I'm trying to decide on a catamaran
myself. However, I didn't know if redesigning a catamaran
like this was not a hammer to crack a nut.
Now I'm new to this scene as I've only been sailing a year, but can anyone tell me if it is feasible to just alter the design of davits
to include a shelf to hold a couple of paddleboards on their edge across the back of the catamaran in between the dinghy
and the rear of the cat?
I've drawn a little pic so that people can hopefully see what I mean and maybe paddleboards are just too big for this... but its late at night here in the UK and I'm just curious.
