Wow. I had to google a couple things to understand what you were doing here but it came out beautifully. How did you make your mold?

Re: "And a star to guide her by"

I have a bronze star mounted to a teak block, in turn, mounted to my bow pulpit. I didn’t have sufficient room to mount it to my bowsprit. Mine was cast at Mystic Seaport by a small boat builder. They do a “pour” a couple times a year and will allow small boat builders to batch their needs so as to make efficient use of resources.
So far it has proven its value at sea…..I’ve always found my way back to home port.

The 5 pointed star incorporates the famous golden ratio. Does that contribute to its mythical properties?
