A/C broke down

My A/C died two days ago. First reaction is a clogged water inlet, yup it was, but that wasn't all. My water pump would not run any more. Yesterday I contacted the company and got the manuals I needed and today I went to work on it. I opened the electronics box and was greeted by the well known odor of burned electronics. Found a burned wire. Replaced it and all was OK, but I didn't stop there, I didn't want that wire burning up again so I added an external fuse. It has been running for about 4 hours now so it looks like I fixed it.

mine was clogged at the intake by a plastic bag but it tripped the cutoff .. i removed the bag and reset the switch and was good to go. i once found a live shrimp in the strainer.
