Guyrj33 - Exactly - you can add a halyard swivel and then it can work like a regular furling system.

I've been off-line for a bit and then return to all these comments and help! This forum is truly a gem. Many thanks to all. Not sure what my solution might be yet but I certainly have a few more ideas now than before. I'll post my solution when I get there Thanks!
