on my rig I had the new gal wires swaged and thimbled and i had them made 6-8 inches shorter in order to include a short length of gal chain at the base - saves having to be very accurate in measuring - they are pretty well useless if they are too long (although my supplier was pretty good, it was too much to ask for 11.105m - it came as 11.150m- fortunately there was plenty of leeway for a couple extra inches)
- and the chain is great for fixing all sorts of things to. And it looks 'shippy' if you like that kind of thing...
