80 mm nylon disc with hole in the center, what are they for ?

Found two of these plastic/nylon discs and I can not remember what they were for.



Dimensions are: 80mm in diam, 20mm thick and the hole in the center is 22mm.

I’d guess they’re donuts for a spinnaker guy. They prevent the splice/shackle from being sucked into the jaws of the pole making release difficult.

If you have a spinnaker pole and a symmetric spinnaker then they look like the stoppers you put on the brace so that the end of the pole (beak?) hits the stopper rather than the shackle/fitting that holds the brace to the clew

That's it. Totally forgot about them. Haven't used the spinnaker in 15 years or so. Nowadays it's just me and the wife and the damn thing is just too large to handle.
