What is the best ice maker for boat?

I am going to install ice maker for the boat. any recommendation, or any idea to what is the best ice maker when considering efficiency, power consumption, amount of ice per day, cleaning.

Not sure there is a demonstrable difference in the units identified in the article. If you buy a countertop unit for occasional use go for the capacity you want knowing that you can remove it if seasonal storage is a consideration.
For built in my 2c worth is you purchase with repair in mind. U-Line and Nor-Cold both have easily replaceable inexpensive controllers which seem to be the most needed replacement part. The marine environment is really harsh on them.

We have a countertop unit. The problem with ALL of them is that they make "wet ice". 32 degrees F/0C. You then have to put it into the freezer to get cold/hard. And that's IF your freezer gets decently cold. Also, they have a very limited amount of water supply/ice storage, so you have to keep up with them.

For home, we use a cheap one from compactappliance.com. We've been using them for years. They make 26 lbs per year.
