West Marine Head Lube

Anyone know what the main ingredient is in the WM Head Lube? I find it helpful in making the head pump work more freely, but I do not like the $13 price per quart.

Just use any veggie oil. Works great and is cheap.

The best maintenance is to pull the pump plunger periodically and coat the pump cylinder and plunger seal with a liberal dose of synthetic teflon grease like SuperLube. 2-3 times throughout a year (if you are using it full time) and you won't have any more problems.

West Marine lube is mineral oil, I believe.
