Yours is 2.5"

Re: Should I Get A Spare Membrane?

Just replaced the Koch membrane that came with my Catalina 300 with a Dow Filmtec SW30-2540 purchased from Big Brand Water Filter, Inc., www.bigbrandwater.com. Their price was $218.95 + $10.05 shipping.

Unfortunately, while monkeying around with all the watermaker parts to get the pressure vessel out, I managed to damage the leads going into the stroke sensor on the Clark pump. I am eagerly awaiting a new one from Spectra.

Oops. Sorry 'bout that Tellie. I was in a hurry to respond to Capt. Kangaroo and neglected to mention the tremendous help you provided me by telephone. Because I normally suspect changes to a system as the cause for subsequent immediate problems, I suspected the new membrane had failed. Obviously I did not understand the cause for a "System Stalled" alarm, which you so expertly pointed out was, in this case, a failed stroke sensor.

Do you have a PayPal account? I would be happy to give you some real credit above and beyond these glowing words of praise.

Seriously, you are most deserving of your reputation on this forum as The Watermaker Expert!
