frig/freezer lid latches

I'm getting pretty tired of my plastic lid latches that keep breaking so am looking for suggestions for replacements.

Sure.

Don't know what boat brand has to do with latches for the frig lid. I can get the OEM latches that came on the boat, I'm looking for something else.

Thats what he's saying, if you buy an Oyster, Halberg-Rassy, Pacific Seacraft, you`ll get good latches, they come with the boat...

Re: frig/freezer lid latches

so what type latches does Oyster use?

My current ones are all internal with a male hook that fits into a spring loaded box. But I could install ones that fit into the corners if I could fnd any.

I know what you mean about those darned latches. I remember treating them like a newborn they were so delicate. I just got used to looking to be sure they were open before closing the top on the fridge. Sorry to say, we ended buying them by the dozens-LOL!

The real horror is that we sold the boat but they are on the RV we are living in now-and they break here too.

Good Luck!

So I finally just took the latches off and allowed the lid weight to hold itself closed. 4 weeks later the system has had a lot less ice build up.
