Cruisair Turbo help

Have a cruisair 16k btu AC, switches on fine and runs OK - problem is that the unit does not respond to fan speed changes while in cool mode. If I run just the fan (no compressor) I can feel the fan speed adjustment reflect. But when in runs in cool mode, changes to the fan speed don't reflect - just stays at constant speed. I also see that the fan spins in opposite directions when in cool mode or fan mode?

Re: Cruisair Turbo help

From the Manual:

Adjusting Fan Speed Manually
Press the FAN key to select manual fan control. The Fan Indicator will light to show that it is in the manual mode. Then use the SLOW and FAST keys to select the desired fan speed.
Note that you can use the manual fan control to circulate air even when the system is in the OFF mode.

Adjusting Fan Speed Automatically
Press FAN a second time to select automatic fan control. The Fan Indicator goes off. Now the system will automatically adjust fan speed as the actual cabin temperature deviates from the setpoint. As setpoint is approached, the fan speed automatically slows. Once setpoint is reached, the compressor
cycles off and the fan keeps running on low speed.

Re: Cruisair Turbo help

Thanks for the reply. Manual mode works fine when running fan only and not compressor. When running in cool mode, ie with compressor, manual mode doesn't seem to respond to changes. I believe it may be a faulty triac?
