Think about a mini-split. The unit is about $750, requires no water for cooling, weighs about 65 pounds split between two boxes and draws only about 500 watts to keep my travel trailer - similar volume to a 36 or o foot mono-hull - at 72 degrees mid-day in South Florida.

Best of all, startup takes a minute or so letting the load grow slowly on the generator rather than the sudden start of a water cooled marine unit

Installed, mine was $2500 with electrical, mounting, refrigeration and remote thermostat.

The unit is very quiet - only 22 db inside and about 36 db outside. 115 volt unit runs on 14 to 16 gauge wire and a 15 amp breaker
