Butane to propane fittings

Hi everyone,

I’m in the (painful) process of converting my EU boat to accept what is available in the US. This is mostly just the electricity (done w an isolation transformer) and now to use propane instead of butane.

I’ve found a tank that’ll fit in the small space built for the purpose and a new regulator as well but found out the connector of my US propane regulator will not fit the boat’s butane connector.

Ok, so I purchased the RGA-8548 ENO METRIC TO SAE ADAPTER which came in last week but that doesn’t fit either as it seems to be just a smidgeon smaller than it needs to be to screw into the connector.

Has anyone successfully converted from butane to propane and how?
