AQUA KING PREMIUM 4.0 FRESH WATER PUMP without Accumulator Tank

Hi all,

We have the subject pump and a Jabsco accumulator tank. The tank always seems to start leaking at the connections after only a few months. I just bought a new one back in April and its now leaking from both ends.

I was looking at the instructions for the pump and the system that is diagrammed doesn't show the use of an accumulator tank.

Do you think I could just ditch the accumulator?

Re: AQUA KING PREMIUM 4.0 FRESH WATER PUMP without Accumulator Tank

I do not know about the Aqua King PREMIUM but we have the Aqua King 3.8 GPM pump that feeds into a Shurflo accumulator tank. Have had it for years and it works perfectly.

My understanding is the accumulator tank keeps the pump for cycling on/off rapidly when using the water. In our system, with the tank at 40 psi, we can draw about a cup of water without the pump coming on. After that, the pump runs steadily until we shut the tap.
