Allcraft water heater parts ?

Well the old Allcraft water heater finally gave out. It was still working but it developed a leak so I torn the sucker out of there. But after I did I noticed that the leak problem was because the element had rusted so badly that the water was leaking out of the bolt holes that hold it in place. Does anyone out there know of where I could get a replacement for the element, the rest of the unit is really good shape. I know that Allcraft is out of bus. but thought someone might send me in the right direction.

Re: Allcraft water heater parts ?

You could take the old element to a plumbing supply hose and see if they can match it up.

Re: Allcraft water heater parts ?

Taking it to a plumbing supply house would be a great idea if I wasn't in the Philippines right now ~!! I could do so here but everything here is 220 so no chance of finding a 110 heater element. Someone told be I could use a 220 one is I doubled the wattage but not sure about that one ???

Re: Allcraft water heater parts ?

My allcraft element failed in Jan, I bought a "CHROMALOX 2E491 Water Heater Element TG-1153L 120V". I needed to bend it to fit into tank without hitting engine heat exchanger bundle, I did that carefully and it works great. It's 1500 watts which is more than the original which was 1250.
