ZF68IV / ZF63 IV no oil pressure

Hello Fellow Cruisers,

My control block was working, I removed it due to a stripped thread, fixed the stripped thread and re-installed it, however it now produces no oil pressure, the key is installed correctly and the shaft is turning the pump assembly inside the control block however the pump appears to be producing no suction. Is this unit serviceable ? Is this a common fault or maybe I am missing something ?

I am assuming that it is a mechanical shift. You my have broken the segment rings when you uninstalled and reinstalled the pump.

I hammered out a replacement gasket and forgot to hammer out the fluid inlet for the pump.

All is good and working now.

Kudos to you for letting us know how it worked out. The final solution is always more important and more interesting than the pontification and prognostication.
