Retrofitting bow (and possibly stern) thrusters on a 60-foot cat. Experiences?

We are thinking about getting hauled out to have bow thrusters installed on our 60-foot catamaran (and possibly stern thrusters). But there are so many unknowns.

Friends had a Lagoon 620 with an electric bow thruster in one of the hulls. They now have a bigger catamaran that has 2 bow thrusters, one in each hull. So... do one side? do both sides?

We have hydraulic steering. So would it make sense to do hydraulic thrusters as opposed to electric? So many questions.

Does anybody have experience with retrofitting thrusters?
