Try Jasper Engines.

I first dealt with them in the late 70's (bought a 6cyl long block for a 1955 Chevy truck). At that time they had been in business for about 35 years. Good prices. Not the cheapest, but good quality.

Last I heard back in the 90's, that engine was still running. A daily driven work truck with a lawn maintenance company. They had 3 identically painted 1955 pickups.

I have purchased from Jasper in the past, however I beleive they are now way over priced. I have located suppliers for way less and a longer warranty
