pirate Luxury yacht sinks in Med..

Just watched a 40 metre luxury motor yacht sink off the coast of Italy.. cause being investigated.
From what I could see it looked like water entered through the stbd engine side at the stern when something failed/broke off..
She started sinking at the stern with a marked list to stbd which increased as she sank stern first.
Struck container or submerged tree trunk washed to sea in the severe storms lately.???

Stabilizer failure involved perhaps ? One account describes the boat as rolling until one side "dipped" under.

A casual observer may not notice when a boat is sitting low, however there could still be enough water in the bilges and lower spaces to start shipping from side to side as the boat rolls slightly. This would grossly exaggerate the rolling and further the shipping of water. As more water floods in, this continues to get worse. Dipping the gunnel certainly wouldn't help until the boat eventually fails to recover.
