Opposite. What is the Best Advice You've Received?
When I decided to become a sailor, and sail the world. I bought a wreck of an O'day 22 to learn on, and as I was fixing her up my neighbor "retired captain " advised me not to put a motor on her. He accurately stated people would stare and point when docking, and situations would be challenging. Yet it would really teach me to sail, and it has!
PS ready to move up from the O'day.
