Re: Anyone Else Tired of Winter?

Winter is nice, you get to do all sorts of homey stuff like read books by candle light and play computer games without feeling guilty for wasting those commodities that are pretty rare in Finland, namely warmth and sunshine.

Plus there is trip planning for the next season to be done, equipment shopping (or just window shopping, in my case). Besides, "distance makes the heart grow fonder"..!

Re: Anyone Else Tired of Winter?

Not at all tired of winter - tired of the rain that keeps washing away the snow we get!

Our ideal world will be 8 months on the boat and 4 months snowmobiling in Vermont. Until that happens we're happy with weekends for both and a few week long trips in the Caribbean each year.

Sitting in IKEA in Canton, MI. and it's 17 degrees. This is the winter that just won't die.

Patience my friend... What little you have anyway... The Dogwoods are blooming here.... It's been a nasty and expensive (gas) winter... Warmth slowly headed your way...

Re: Anyone Else Tired of Winter?

-7 F (-22 C) this morning up on Lake Superior. The only sign of spring has been longer days. Next Saturday it is supposed to get above freezing. Don't really need to start getting the boat ready for a few more weeks.
