Gulf Intracoastal waterway

Hello,
Has anybody traveled the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway recently? I will be eastbound from Galveston this month and would like to hear about anchorages along the way suitable for a 6' draft.

We are leaving Clear Lake Sunday AM and heading east on the GIWW to the Keys. Have fun and good luck. We too draw 6' so our stops will be no problem for you.
