We are now entertaining the idea of taking the boat up the intracoastal waterway from Miami to Maine instead of leaving it here in storage. Which waterway guide is the best? There are many available. We want to make the right choice.
Skipper Bob's would be my first choice. It is exceptionally current and the web site can be used to fill in last minute details stuff. He has one for the ICW and one for the great loop. Numerous freinds have extolled the virtues. Mostly it's because it is kept up to date. Lots of changes and details that migth come in handy as far as facilties and general conditions.

I would also recommend (in addition to and not in place of) Kettlewell's flip chart book of the ICW. It provides mileage markers that are helpful when used in conjunction with Skipper Bob's books, and it also denotes bridges. The flip chart format is very easy to use at the helm.
