The lesson to take from this is don't be out on a sailboat where some intoxicated speeding cop might run in to you. You might just go to jail for getting in his way.

I am so happy he was found innocent but I am still disgusted by the rest of the story. Things like this give me extra motivation to go to work and work hard so I can afford to leave.

It seems as though Lake County government could use a good house cleaning, and could there be a better time than now? Expose them and give them the boot.

If you think you can outrun corruption you will have a VERY long way to go.

I don't have the link but some politician just got his ankle? broken in a boating accident on Flathead Lake. There was a picture of the boat which ran up on the rocks at ten PM.
It was about ten feet above the lake. Supposedly the politician was a passenger.

Yeah, right.

For a period of time in Cocoa Florida, the whole(!) police force was thrown in jail by the State Police for corruption. A new police force was hired and didn't take long before they were also thrown in jail. This cycle went on for several cycles and became a source of local humor.
