Brit Sailor Sinks Cat New Bride Missing/Dead

https://www.foxnews.com/world/new-ph...heir-catamaran

He was also found with $100k of stolen coins in the life raft.
Hummm! You think it might have been an arguement over money.
IMHO this guy was not real bright.

Did the coins belong to his new bride?

A) This is old news, from 2017.
B) Since the escape hatches were found opened, imo, he was lucky to be able to take the plea to manslaughter.
C) The $100,000 could be one special coin plus a penny, could have been small: I wonder what happened to it?

A.

Saw this. They show some dagger board trunk holes in the hull and say these are a picture of holes he bade in the hull from the inside. Lol

Re: Brit Sailor Sinks Cat New Bride Missing/Dead

The family of Isabella Hellman wrote a letter to the judge who will determine Lewis Bennett's sentence to reconsider his plea deal. According to the letter, Hellman's family preferred to see Bennett go through a trial and be acquitted than to allow him to plead involuntary manslaughter.
Hellman disappeared at sea on Mother's Day in 2017.
Bennett's sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. in Miami federal court.

"Investigators also found Bennett on the life raft with $100,000 worth of coins stolen from a yacht he had worked aboard in 2016."

The biggest issue with his plan was that the cat didn't sink all the way.

So what was his motive? The coins were not hers. Did he have a life insurance policy on her? Was she rich? Did he not like her? I didn't find anything on it.

An article I read stated she owned real estate that he wanted to sell. I don't know how credible that source was, though.

International waters
Should have used a tender and motored 10 or 15 miles from where the cat sank. Also should have sank the cat off the shelf. No body no crime ?

SP, are you "planning" LOL

So now the plot thickens..... he wanted to sell her real estate and also had $100,000. Soooo, who owned the boat?

This guy deserves way more than 8 years. Damn shame about the cat too. Surely he could have figured out a "solution" without sinking his boat
