Maybe we could have a web song too. How about adapting Rod Stewart's "Sailing":

I am cruising, I am cruising etc etc

We could ask George Michael to record it for us!

(I've got my flak jacket and tin helmet on so fire away)

Now thats funny, I was just thinking the same thing about "Connecting Sailors & Cruisers Worldwide" but not in the gay sence.

It almost sounds like what a singles site would use. David_O_J, you must have gay on your mind. I don't know how one would get gay out of Cruising boats, Cruising people, Cruising answers

Whilst I am aware that the word "cruising" is well understood in the boaty sense, the word is also well understood in "my" part of the wider world in connection with gay folk going to seek out "new freinds" for meetings possibly of a short term nature..............(I am not saying this is a bad thing - whatever floats yer boat )

London's Gay Cruising

It is not so much the use of the word cruisers / cruising that I was flagging, but using the words 4 times........and something nautical only once........appears to put the emphasis on "Cruising".........of an unspecified sort.......and possibly open to folk (possibly only from this (my!) part of the world??) assuming the site is more heavily weighted towards the social side of Sailor meeting Sailor

......As I have indicated already I do not mind if 90% of folk here sail around the world looking for a bit of male bonding, just that from a commerical viewpoint projecting this image may impact on the sites appeal.......and I flagged it up as folk from accross the pond or downunder may not make the connection. but the bottom line is - not my site, not my concern..........of course it may be that I have the mind of a Pervert. Which is true.

Not yet , but me and The Bishop of Bath and Wells do have a lot in common......

The Baby Eating Bishop of Bath and Wells: “You see, Black Adder, I am a colossal pervert. No form of human depravity is too low for me. Animal, vegetable, or mineral, I’ll do anything to anything.”

Lord Edmund Blackadder: “Well, it’s always nice to see the church taking a stand on social issues.”

I got a good laugh out of this discussion. Just wait until you see the logo. I can already envision three sailors standing in very odd ways "repairing" their sailboat with the other two doing similarly innocent action but when you look at them all together it might make you think... Hahaha.

Ok back to being serious. I am off my meds and the vote is not nearly as fun as when it started. I guess I am just happy to get this behind us. I let the momentum die last spring so finally after a year we will get a real logo.

Well we are at a dead lock for 2nd place. Waiting on some more votes so we can have the last vote. I would really like over 100 votes on this round (like last round) and we are at 89.

"I am off my meds"
Well, if you're not using them...

As the grade school teachers tell kids caught chewing gum or other goodies "I hope you brought enough to share, now pass them out!"<G>

If they'd only put valium in the municipal water supplies....

Looking at the tallies, it is 42:23 in favor of one tag line, that's nearly a 2:1 ratio in 65 votes. One more vote will not change anything--it's already over. Isn't it?
