Loading pictures on the "post reply"

I've attempted to load pictures on replies using the img brackets but only come up with the hyperlink. I've copied and pasted so the spelling can't be off. What am I doing wrong?

Try the IMG-button, above the field where you write your massage, and paste the image's address in the new window like I do now:

Another try

I believe I've tried that a couple times already. But I'll try again. Click on the IMG above the message box and paste in the image address.

I'm runnig a MAC using OS X. Will that make any differance?

I tried the preview and only the hyperlink shows.
Now I'll try the submit.
Also the HTML code at the bottom is "off". will that affect anything.
And the vB code is in normal mode

OK delmarrey, now I see what you do wrong. The address you pasted in is not for an image, it's for the page. Just click your link and you see. Image addresses typically end with .jpg or .gif

I followed your link, right-clicked (in Windows) on the image to find it's properties ie the address. Pasted the address via the IMG-button. The HTML is supposed to be off in all forums.

Please try again

Cool The solution

I could not find an address any where for the image. It took an hour or so worth of research to find out how to get the address for the image since there isn't a right click on the MAC mouse. And MAC doesn't have a properties selection. On OS X, you have to hold the control key and click on the image. A contextual menu will show. You drag down to the selection "Open Image in Another Window". In that window it will show the image address. Copy THAT address. Then paste it in the IMG selection, like so.

I selected another image just for GP.
Now it works, Thanks Gisle

Great delmarrey

I haven't used a MAC since back in 87-88, so thanks for updating me on how to paste images with that system. MAC's never really took off over here in Scandinavia.

Now I'm looking forward to seeing a lot more of those great shots of yours. Having posted 12 images you're among the Top 2 image posters delmarrey ...

Thanks!
