Ignore Feature

Never tried the ignore thing until this Abby stuff. So I figured out how to set up an "ignore", I was able to get two of the threads on ignore but the third "debate" keeps popping up.

Not sure why the one keeps popping up, perhaps an issue with the board software.

Either way, THANK YOU! for reminding me about the ignore feature!! Sick and tired of the back and forth.

Interesting. I thought ignore was only for posters, I didn't realize you could ignore whole threads.

Yep, just checked and it still pops up, but the thread is marked ignore. Oh well, at least I only have one thread to deal with instead of three! Thanks for fixing my typo in the title Frank .

Hi Erika,

Sometimes a thread even though ignored will show in the fourm its in, but not in the New Posts or the Recent Posts.I find the Ignore Thread a great and easy thing (Its in Thread Tools for those not found it yet), and not just for annoying/heated threads but ones I don't have interest in (like most Opencpn threads but for the 1 I need).

Markj, thanks for the advice, great idea and will try to utilize it if I can figure out what I am doing wrong -the posts now are all popping up when I hit "new posts" though I have hit ignore on all three. Maybe I am just destine to suffer .

Oops wait, they are now gone from "new posts" but still in subscribed threads, don't know what I did or if the mods did it (if so thanks!).

Ahhhh Hud, I never knew I could unsubscribe either. So hitting ignore only works if you are unsubscribed...blonde moment
