My grandfather had an old hot bulb engine in an 18 footer that he started up on land one spring. Not remembering that for wintering.. he had put a large plug of Newspaper in the exhaust. The compression of those things is impressive.

The newspaper plug had gotten wet and hard and took off like a cannonball. And since Murphy was alive back then too. It was squarely aimed at the kitchen window 30 meters away.
