For sale because I'm moving overseas and can't take the boat, this ideal bluewater catamaran for single and short handed sailing, spacious, comfortable and safe, with high load-carrying capacity: the Prout 38 - later known as the Broadblue 38 - is designed and built for serious cruising. Many Prouts are found in the best cruising spots all over the world.

Ample headroom everywhere, there is a generous amount of storage space and the interior is stylish and well finished in cherry and blue fabric. There is a full size galley, three double cabins and in each hull a heads with shower. And even a diesel heater.

The mast is stepped at the forward end of the cockpit making all halyards accessible without going on deck. With the mast well aft, the rig is characterised by a relatively small mainsail and large furling genoa for easy single-handed sailing.

The cockpit seats 6 to 8, around a swing-arm table under a bimini, which zips down to a cockpit tent.

Powered by 2 Volvo Penta 30hp engines, cruising speed 7.5 kts, ca. 4 ltr/hour@2500 rpm. Long range diesel tanks 420 ltr, 400 ltr water tank.
