Accommodations for Annapolis sailboat show

My wife and I are trying desperately to find some affordable accommodation for a couple of days during the sailboat show and coming up empty. Everything is either already booked or priced out of this world.
We are driving down from Ottawa Canada. We are clean, respectful, sociable non smokers with lots of references if required.
If you have or know someone who has an extra bed in a home or boat for a couple of nights please let us know otherwise it looks like the trip might not happen.
Thanks, David & Nuria

There are one or two older motels off RT 50 before the bridge. Sort of the place navy sailors take their dates. I've stayed at one for a week before 10 years ago. Think they're still there. Might be full also.

We always stayed in Baltimore. Just a short drive to parking and the shuttle.

Re: Accommodations for Annapolis sailboat show

You just need to look slightly further out. Baltimore has plenty of options and is only 25 to 30 minutes away. There are probably plenty of other options in all directions. The other upside is the prices are far more reasonable once you get out of the immediate vicinity of the boat show.

Good luck!

Check hotels around the airport, BWI, easy run down to Annapolis from there.

Still there, been rehabbed a few times under different companies/ownership. Kinda' roachy over the past few years. Sometimes rowdy parties in adjacent rooms, but for $150 a night during the boatshow what can you expect

If you're used to staying in *finer/upscale* lodging these are'nt your cup a' tea. Just saying....

Sorry, forgot to add, these are 'Choice' hotel, 'Rodeway Inn' properties that are hard to get on the phone. Due to some cancellations there are a few nights still available at these places. There is a decent 'Blues, Beers, Ribs joint' across HWY 50 from them. Locally owned and frequented by locals that I've eaten in a few times.

We had the same problem going to the show. There is a Hilton on Kent Island that had plenty of rooms. Prices were good and plenty of nice places to eat. Made the mistake in later days to stay closer to Baltimore which wasn't better and the traffic sucked bad. Kent Island is not that far from the show and a lot less traffic.

Cheap hotel in Baltimore, BWI area recommended. Drive is under 30 mins, maybe more with boatshow traffic? Relax, you can definitely do the trip.

Red, Hot and Blue is the name of the rib joint. I love their dry rub pork ribs. I have also stayed in the hotel across the highway.

Re: Accommodations for Annapolis sailboat show

I have reservations for two nights, Saturday and Sunday, at O'Callaghans Hotel in Annapolis. I will not be going, so will be cancelling the reservation before Friday. Maybe we could coordinate for you to get it somehow if your still looking.
