Lagoon Bulkhead Tabbing Glue

Does anyone know who manufactures the glue that Lagoon use to tab the bulkheads? I have been told that it is

Tikaflex Contact 12

But cannot verify this from the manufacturer or from Lagoon (no surprise on the last one)

So before I order a bunch to be shipped from Europe to the US I would love some feedback.

Thanks
Fergus

Beneteau Spare Parts in North America is your best source for info. They provide parts for US based Lagoon's as well. Contact them and they should be able to answer.

Re: Lagoon Bulkhead Tabbing Glue

If you have some bulkheads coming adrift / cracks in the tabbing glue, then I suggest glassing them in, rather than replacing the glue.

Stronger in the long run.

I'm not sure why they glass some in (bilge ones), and only glue others. The glue used isn't flexible, so there dosn't seem to be a reason to me, other than cost maybe ?

Regards

Mark.

.

I wouldn't recommending glassing in bulkheads that were originally glassed in. They have been designed this way, its not a cost issue. You will create stress points if you glass them in which can cause future issues and damage.

Try this! When your out sailing in 2m swells sit on the floor, in the port hull and rest your body between the side walls. You will feel the flexible movement of your catamaran. You don't want to restrict this design movement.

Replace flexible glue with the same.
