lose tabbing

Good day to all,

My question is has any one experienced the tabbing coming loose on their Prout. I have a few spots. The most troublesome one being in the forward lockers. Waves over the bow or choppy pounding will get spray up through the drain holes in the bottom of the forward lockers. It’s a straight shot back into the center nacelle under the forward birth. My house batteries and (once) my inverter/charger are stored there. I say once because after I plugged into shore power I notice a smell no one wants to encounter, the sent of burning electrical equipment. So much for the Heart 2000 inverter. I tried injecting West System epoxy after trying to clean and scuff under the popped tabbing. I got back home dry but again this year I found my self crossing the Gulf and ran into the storm NOAA said wouldn’t be there till two days later. But NOAA is another story. Longer story short Water made it back in. I guess the flexing was too much. I am now in the middle of grinding away old and replacing the tabbing to the hull. Any advise or like experiences?

Here is a website of a Prout owner who has fixed and documented many problems with his boat.
