Pacific plus 2 wind pilot
Came of my Amel mango 1983
Rudder part was ripped of. Tube recronstected
Located in north Miami
$1500.

I am looking for one of these. How was the rudder broken off? Is it now repaired or does it need a new rudder from WindPilot.. if so these are expensive. Peter from windpilot looks after the first owner but refurbishing a used one is expensive. Any stress fractures in the other tubes?

I hope you and your boat are ok!!!! Irma is I guess at your door.

Hello, Mike sorry I took so long. Irma had me busy.
I didn't know the previous owner so don't know how it happend. I imagine a line got caught and ripped the bottom.
I reconstructed the main shaft. And was working on the rudder but haven't had time to finds. Parts from wind pilot will not work on a he bottom end because they are not the same dimensions.

So if I have it right, it is all there but the main rudder needs to be rebuilt. Is that correct? Which series is it series 1 or series 2?

I will be in Fort Lauderdale Sept 18 to 21st at a meeting, any chance to organise a look at it??
