Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

You know you are probably right. I have never meet him. I live in New Amsterdam and get what you are saying, but posting the Dashew video struck me as un-necessarily ostentatious and in general poor...

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

I think it is wonderful that nick from Jedi has a 70' boat. However, I found his posting that video in the context of discussing a younger couple who had just lost their 36' home to be incredibly...

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

I watched it all happen simultaneously out the window of a friend's apartment and on the TV.

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

I posted this elsewhere on a different thread but figure it was worth posting here as well as it relates to the news conference-

You know people with hang-ups about the taxes thing and the cost of...

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

I was reflecting this morning on having watched the air rescue crew's news conference last night and it occurred to me that there was some code-speak in there, the significance of which some people...

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

If only the man himself were here to tell us how it all went down.

As he has stated he felt he needed time for the frenzy to blow over before he would share the specifics. Doesn't mean he is not...

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

To clarify, I couldn't agree more about choosing family over a boat. I also couldn't agree more with basing a sea survival strategy around the use of an EPIRB. What works for me is to make plans for...

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

Hmmm, maybe my point isn't being recieved the way I intended?

OR

Maybe you would like to add to the lashing I received for daring to suggest people might plan to give themselves other options...

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

I guess you haven't been paying any attention so allow me to point out that there other heartless people here, besides Eric, that don't give a rat's ass about the fact that you lost your home or...

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

I think it's extremely sad you and others are so reactive as to fail to recognize my initial comment neither condemned nor condoned anything, but rather was simply an observation that for all the...

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

You're absolutely right. If you have bad luck down the road I will make sure to make it none of my business as well.

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

This thread has over 70,000 views with over 800 posts and yet only a couple hundred supporters have stepped up to contribute $$$ to the family? I have to imagine many of those contributors are...

Re: Forum Member's boat and daughter in trouble off of Mexico

Money doesn't buy happiness, but if it helps the Rebel Heart crew or helps save the boat I will give what I can.
